iD Eco-Pro 360 is an EPA tested & verified, water-based, non-aerosol, non-hazardous, ready to use green product.
2. What does it do?
iD Eco-Pro 360 removes surface rust, mill oil, flash rust, and oxidation (including white rust). It provides a pre-treatment conversion coating, which seals to stop further oxidation.
3. Does it protect?
Yes, iD Eco-Pro 360 not only provides overnight rust protection, it can provide years of protection if stored indoors. The coating does not have to be removed before production.
4. Will this product damage the metal surface?
No. Since iD Eco-Pro 360 is water-based, it will not etch the surface, keeping it intact. It can be applied to any type of metal (ferrous and non-ferrous) such as carbon steel, stainless steel, galvanized steel, aluminum, etc.
5. How is it applied & how much do I use?
iD Eco-Pro 360 can be applied by brushing, spraying, dipping, or wiping. Only a very thin coating is required, so use conservatively. After one minute of application, wipe or blow off excess chemical. Air dry or dry with a heat gun. If excess chemical is left on the surface, it will become a residue (chalky white) which can have an effect on bonding and corrosion resistance.
6. How do I remove rust from inside the cooling passage?
For smaller molds, it's recommended to dip entirely. Make sure there is no oil, the surface is dry, and remove any non-metallic seals. After dipping, blow off excess iD Eco-Pro 360 and air dry. The bath itself will not need to be disposed of, you can re-use it. The rust particles will have to be pumped/ filtered out.
For larger molds, it's recommended to use a flushing system. By pumping iD Eco-Pro 360 through your system, it will remove the rust and provide a protection coating at the same time. Be sure your system has a filter, so you can remove the rust particles and continue using iD Eco-Pro 360. It is recommended to use an air hose to blow out any excess iD Eco-Pro 360 from within the cooling passages.
7. What is the shelf life of iD Eco- Pro 360?
iD Eco-Pro 360 can last over 10 years when stored indoors in a cool and dry place (no direct sunlight).
8. How do I clean up a spill on the floor?
iD Eco-Pro 360 is non-hazardous since it doesn't etch the metal surface, therefore no metal goes into the waste material. Simply wash the chemical with a large amount of water.
